Miss Camille
Miss Camille joined the Preschool Staff at Bayshore in 2005 and currently teaches an older 2 year old class. She began he career in child care when her twins entered preschool and then taught for five years at a school for special needs children. Miss Camille loves helping children to grow and become more independent. When asked why she chose to teach preschool, her response was “because I want to encourage young children to share and play together, to learn social skills and manners they will use for a lifetime.”
Miss Tonya
Miss Tonya joined the Preschool Staff at Bayshore in 2016 as a substitute teacher and will be teaching an older 2 year old class in the 2017-2018 school year. Having relocated to Tampa in 2015 she came to us with three years of experience teaching preschoolers. Miss Tonya has a quiet approach and is skilled at redirecting the attention of a younger child who find themselves having a difficult moment. When asked why she chose to teach preschool, her response was “after my children entered elementary school I realized how much of a role learning through play has in the development of young children. This led me to seek a position where I could work in an environment that allowed me to nurture a child’s social and emotional development.”
Miss Mimi
Miss Mimi is the newest member of the Preschool staff, having joined us in 2016 as the Teacher’s Assistant for the older 2 year olds. Being quite mature and patient for her age, she has proven herself to be a perfect fit for our preschoolers. When asked why she chose to teach preschool, her response was “I really love working with the children, they are so fun and always sweet. I also enjoy working with the staff who are so kind and loving which makes everyone here feel welcome.”
